Apple releases OS X 10.11 El Capitan to App Store for Free

Apple has released OS X 10.11 El Capitan to the public, it is available for free to Mac users around the world. It can be downloaded using the Software Update function in the Mac App Store, and it will run on all Macs capable of running OS X 10.6.8 or later. 

It comes with new Split View option for side-by-side multitasking, improved Spotlight and Mission Control functionality, an updated Notes app, updated Safari with Pinned Sites, a universal mute button and more.
