Apple Releases iOS 9.0.2 Update with Bug Fixes and Improvements

Apple had launched their latest iOS 9.0 on September 17 and had released the a minor bug fixes iOS 9.0.1 on September 24. Now after a week a new update iOS 9.0.2 is rolling out for all the iOS users. The 75MB update comes with improvement on app cellular data usage, iMessage activation, iCloud backup, notifications and Podcasts app. The new update also comes with a security patch that fixes the bug that allowed users to bypass the lock-screen to access photos and contacts.

  • Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app mobile data usage
  • Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users
  • Resolves an issue where an iCloud Backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup
  • Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications
  • Improves the stability of Podcasts
You can download and install iOS 9.0.2 by opening Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device. Or you can connect your iOS device to iTunes and click Summary > Check for Update to install the update. The download size varies based on the type of iOS device you have, but it is likely more than about 70 megabytes.
