ZTE Star 2 with 5-inch 1080p display and system-level voice control launched

ZTE has launched ZTE Star 2 smartphone today,the successor to its Star 1 smartphone unveiled back in April this year.

ZTE Star 2 features a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD OGS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD card. It sports a 13MP auto focus camera with dual LED and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with MiFavor 3.0 UI on top and has 2300 mAh battery.

The main feature of ZTE Star2 is its voice control support. The voice control system on the ZTE Star 2 is active even when the phone is not connected to the Internet, and ZTE says that it has a response time of 1.2 seconds and a 90% success rate even in noisy environments.

50,000 units of Redmi Note, Out of stock in 6 seconds

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that 50,000 units of Xiaomi Redmi Note would go on sale on Flipkart on 2 December and registrations began last monday, 24 November, when it was launched in India. Now the company has announced that all the units have gone off the shelves in just 6 seconds via Flipkart, which is the exclusive retail partner of the company. Hugo Barra, Xiaomi VP, made the announcement via his Twitter handle and also the official Twitter handle of the company in India.

The firm has also announced that the next flash sale for the Redmi Note will be on December 9, and that registration will be open from Tuesday 6pm IST to Monday, December 8, midnight.

HTC finally launched Desire 620 after getting leaked. HTC has launched Desire 620 and Desire 620G in Taiwan. Both Desire 620 and Desire 620G has similar specifications except the processor and network connectivity. Both the phones features a  5-inch HD IPS display. It sports a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording, HTC EYE experience and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor. The main difference is the processor. Micromax has added another smartphone in its Bolt series dubbed, the Micromax Bolt AD4500. Micromax Bolt AD4500 can be purchased at eBay India for ₹Rs 5,290.The main feature of Micromax Bolt AD4500 is its dual front speaker.

It features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled and 512MB of RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel camera with flash, and 0.3-megapixel front facing camera. It has an internal storage of 4GB and ca be expanded upto 32GB via micro SD card. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

OnePlus One Indian launch to be Amazon Exclusive

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is set to launch its smartphone in India.A teaser posted by Amazon India, indicates that the phone will be an Amazon exclusive in the country. The Amazon teaser says,  "The Smartphone you have been waiting for, is coming soon" with the hashtag #TheOneThing.

Asus launches ZenFone 5 Lite in Philippines

Asus has launched a new variant of its popular Zenfone 5 smartphone. Dubbed as Asus Zenfone 5 Lite, in Philippines with the price tag of Php 5,595 (which is around  Rs. 7,600 INR). The phone will be available for purchase in Philippines from next week.

Asus Zenfone 5 Lite A501CG features a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) pixels IPS display screen, it is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 1GB of RAM and 2500 mAh battery. It has an internal memory of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD card. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Asus made Zen User Interface. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera.

Xiaomi Might Launch 4G Support mobile with 1GB of RAM, HD Display, at Rs. 4,000

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is working on a smartphone at Rs. 4,000 with 4G LTE capability. According to reports from Gizchina,this smartphone will cost around 399 yuan,where it costs around Rs.4000 in India.

The smartphone might feature a 720p display and 1GB of RAM. Reports say, Xiaomi has reportedly invested in a company called Leadcore, which will make the chipset for the new smartphone. The rumoured LC180 chipset, which is apparently built on a 28nm fabrication processor, uses 2GHz Cortex-A7 cores along with the Mali T628 GPU. A leaked specification sheet suggested that the SoC can support 2k LCD displays and record upto 720p videos at 120fps and 1080p videos at 60fps. It also has 4G LTE support.

Xiaomi entered the Indian market couple of months back with Xiaomi Mi3 and RedMi 1S. Now the Chinese company is now set to launch the Redmi Note in India within the next couple of months, which will become the cheapest smartphone in India powered by an octa-core processor.
