Samsung has launched Galaxy J Max tablet in India. It is available in Black and Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 13400. Galaxy J Max will go on sale via online and offline channels in end of July.

The South Korean company has pre-loaded popular apps and services from its Galaxy J-series of smartphones in the Galaxy J Max such as the Ultra Data Saving (UDS) Mode which is claimed to save up to 50 percent of 4G data. Additionally, Samsung is bundling one year free subscription to Vuclip, which is a video on demand streaming service, and is also offering a free Samsung Bluetooth headset in-box. The Galaxy J Max comes with 6 months of double data offer for Airtel prepaid customers.

LG has launched LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE tablet in Korea. It is available in Brown Gold color and is currently only set to launch in Korea. LG hasn't revealed the retail price of the tablet, nor when it plans to sell the tablet in other regions.

Micromax Canvas LapTab Launched with Windows 10 at Rs. 14,999

Micromax has launched its first Windows 2-in-1 device, the Canvas LapTab with inbuilt 3G SIM with Windows 10 in India. It will be available exclusively from Amazon.in at Rs. 14,999. It is one of the first commercially available devices in India with pre-loaded Windows 10, said the company.

The buyers would additionally receive 1TB of cloud storage on Microsoft's OneDrive service. The Micromax Canvas Laptab offers one year of free subscription for Microsoft Office 365 Personal apps. It also houses dual speakers placed either sides on the rear panel.

Apple iPad Pro Launched with 12.9 inch display, A9X Chip Official, Apple Pencil Stylus

Apple has just announced the new iPad Pro, the huge iPad with 12.9 inches of display. The iPad Pro will ship this November in Silver, Grey, Space Grey colours at a price of $799 for 32GB storage (Wi-Fi only), $949 for 128GB storage (Wi-Fi only), and $1079 for 128GB storage Wi-Fi+LTE variant. 

Apple iPad Pro comes with Apple Pencil, which is the stylus for iPad Pro. The Apple Pencil has sensors for force, angle, position, and a faster digitiser. iOS apps like Mail and Notes have been update to support the Apple Pencil. Lenovo has launched its latest phablet, Lenovo Phab Plus in China. It is available in Grey and Silver colors and is priced at 2,599 Yuan (US$407 / Rs. 27,040 approx.) in China. You can get the phablet from its official website. So far, there is no word whether Lenovo will be launching its Phab Plus smartphone outside China.

LG has launched the latest tablet in the G pad series dubbed LG G Pad II 10.1. The new LG G Pad II 10.1 will be showcased at the upcoming IFA event in Berlin next month. The tablet will be available in Wi-Fi only and LTE models and will go on sale in markets in North America, Europe and Asia. The company is likely to reveal pricing and exact availability of the tablet locally at the time of launch.

Microsoft Surface 3 Launched with 10.8-inch HD display, Intel Atom x7 processor

Microsoft launched a low cost version of Surface tablet computer. Microsoft Surface 3 starts at $499 for the 2GB RAM with 64GB storage. 4GB RAM with 128GB storage costs $599. Surface 3 with LTE costs $599 for 2GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, and $699 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage version.

Pre-order is available starting Tuesday in the US through Microsoft Stores, microsoftstore.com and select retailers, and it will be on sale beginning May 5, with availability in 26 markets by May 7.

Microsoft Surface 3 features a 10.8-inch (1920 x 1280 pixels) Full HD Plus 10-point multi-touch Display with Pen input powered by 1.6 Quad-core Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor (up to 2.4 GHz) and 2GB/4GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 64GB/128GB. It sports a 8MP auto focus rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Windows 8.1 OS and is  upgradeable to Windows 10. It also comes with LTE variant with built-in nano SIM slot and a free one-year subscription to Office 365.

Zebronics has launched Zebpad 7T500 tablet in India priced at Rs. 7,490. It is available in silver color and will be available across retail stores.

Zebronics Zebpad 7T500 tablet features a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor with Mali 400 GPU and 1GB DDR3 RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has 2800 mAh battery.

iBall Slide Q40i Tablet Launched with Android 4.4 KitKat at Rs. 4,999

iBall has launched a new entry level wi-fi only tablet iBall Slide Q40i in India. It is priced at Rs. 4999 only. The company confirmed that the tablet will be available in India across retail stores, though no word whether the handset will be also available online. 

iBall Slide Q40i features a 7-inch (1024x600 pixels) display powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 512MB RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 2MP rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has 2500 mAh battery.

BlackBerry Launches New Secure Tablet Based on Samsung's Galaxy Tab S 10.5

Seeking to extend its range of secure mobile devices, BlackBerry Ltd said on Saturday it was launching a high-security tablet, developed with International Business Machines Corp and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.

The SecuTABLET, based on Samsung's Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and being presented by BlackBerry unit Secusmart at tech fair CeBIT 2015 in Germany, reflects the Canadian company's stress on secure connections for governments and businesses as it seeks to preserve a niche market after a drubbing in recent years at the hands of emerging smartphone makers such as Apple Inc.

"Security is ingrained in every part of BlackBerry's portfolio, which includes voice and data encryption solutions," said Dr. Hans-Christoph Quelle, chief executive officer of Secusmart GmbH, in a statement on the new device.

The device was undergoing certification by the German Federal Office for Information Security for secure rating, the statement said, adding that the new tablet used the same security technology as the Secusmart Security Card.

"Working alongside IBM and Samsung, we have added the last link in the chain of the Federal Security Network. Subject to certification of the SecuTABLET, German government agencies will have a new way to access BlackBerry's most secure and complete communications network in the world," Quelle said.
