Intex Aqua Star II HD Launched with 5MP Front Camera at Rs. 6,590

Intex has launched the successor of Intex Aqua Star II dubbed Intex Aqua Star II HD priced at Rs. 6,590. It is available in White, Grey, Silver and Champagne colors. The smartphone will be available across India via offline and online stores. 

Intex Aqua Star II HD features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS full lamination display powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor 1GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has 2000 mAh battery.

Motorola Moto 360 Gets a Price Cut, Available at Rs. 12,999

Motorola has slashed the price of its Moto 360 smartwatch by Rs 5,000. Originally priced at Rs 17,999, the leather-strap variant of the Android Wear-powered smartwatch is now available at Rs 12,999 on e-commerce website Flipkart. The recently launched metal band version is available at Rs 14,999. It was originally listed at Rs 19,999. As per the listing, the new price is valid until stocks last or till the offer ends. 

Launched in India in September 2014, the Moto 360 sports 1.56-inch backlit LCD display with 320x290p resolution. It comes with the option of a light or dark stainless steel case, and grey or black Horween leather band. The watch is powered by a 320mAh battery and runs on a Texas Instruments OMAP 3 processor. The watch has 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage. The smartwatch comes with a full day's battery backup. 

Moto 360 has built-in pedometer and heart rate monitor and comes with a heart activity tracker app. It can withstand water damage up to 3.3-feet for a maximum of 30 minutes (IP67). It has a single physical button, vibration motor and dual microphones. 

Like the other Android Wear models, the Motorola smartwatch is compatible with devices running on Android 4.3 or above, can take voice commands and have Bluetooth 4.0. 

Moto 360 also features wireless charging and comes with a charging dock. The smartwatch weighs 49gram (leather strap model), has 46mm diameter and is 11.5mm high.

iBall launched its new voice calling tablet in India dubbed iBall Slide 3G-i80 priced at Rs. 10,499. It comes pre-loaded with 19 Indian languages.

iBall Slide 3G-i80 features a 8-inch (800 x 1280 pixels) multi-touch IPS display powered by 1.33GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735F processor (burst up to 1.86GHz) and 1GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 5MP auto focus rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat and has 4400 mAh battery.

Panasonic Eluga L 4G Launched with 64-bit SoC,4G at Rs. 12,990

Panasonic launched launched its first 4G smartphone in India dubbed Panasonic Eluga L 4G. It is available in Radiant Blue color and is priced at Rs. 12990. It comes with a screen guard and a  protective case. No word on battery capacity yet.

It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat.

Micromax's Yu Yureka to Be Available Without Registration on May 6 and May 7


Yu Yureka smartphone will available to buy without any registrations in India on Wednesday and Thursday. 

As per company's announcement on its Facebook and Twitter handles, and said, "No registrations, no time limits. Yureka open sale on 6th and 7th May. Are you ready to Play God?" The Amazon India page however notes the sale begins at 10am on Wednesday.

Micromax has started rolling Android 5.0 Lollipop for Yu Yureka smartphones. 

Yu Yuphoria is also on its way to hit the market on May 12. The YU Yuphoria is also expected to launch exclusively through Amazon.in.

Facebook Users Donate $10 million for Nepal earthquake


 Social networking website Facebook has raised funds over $10 million within two days to support earthquake-torn Nepal.

The Himalayan nation was rattled by a powerful earthquake measuring 7.9 on Richter Scale on April 25 which left over 6,000 dead and injured more than 10,000.

"We gave people the option on Facebook to support local relief efforts. In two days, more than half a million people donated and raised more than $10 million to support the International Media Corps relief effort," a status posted by Facebook founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Mark Zuckerberg said.

"Facebook will donate an additional $2 million to local recovery efforts to help those in affected areas."

The popular social media platform had also activated a safety feature where more than seven million people in Nepal have been marked as safe.

The Facebook CEO has also stated that it is inspiring to see communities coming together to help people in their time of need.

Micromax's Yu Yuphoria Smartphone Launching on May 12


The successor of Yu Yureka dubbed Yu Yuphoria will be launching on May 12. The company took to Twitter to confirm the India launch date for the Yu Yuphoria smartphone. The tweet said, "The moment of YUphoria is coming. Have you blocked your calendar?"

The company had already confirmed the launch the smartphone in Q2. It had carried out a naming campaign called "#YUNameIt" via its social platform and claimed that it received over 100,000 entries.

The smartphone will runs on Cyanogen OS 12 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). So far no hints on the specification except the operating system. Another 10 days to go and we will be knowing full specification of Yu Yuphoria.

Yu Yureka which is still going on flash sale through Amazon is one of the famous smartphone and recently it got Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA update.
