Apple OS X Yosemite 10.10.3

Apple has released the public beta of its upcoming computer operating system, OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. If you have registered for the OS X beta program, then can head on over to the Mac App Store Software Update tab to download the new beta. Apple advises that users install the beta software on a system or partition that they are prepared to erase if necessary. Users are also told to always back up their Mac when using beta software.

The release includes the new Photos app, which organizes a user's photo library and helps to perfect photos with comprehensive editing tools. Users can also store their photos and videos in the cloud using iCloud Photo Library, and then access them on all of their devices.

Key features of new Photos app, according to Apple, include the ability to:

• Browse photos by time and location in Moments, Collections, and Years views
• Navigate a library using convenient Photos, Shared, Albums, and Projects tabs
• Store all of your photos and videos in iCloud Photo Library in their original format and in full resolution
• Perfect photos with powerful and easy to use editing tools that optimize with a single click or slider, or allow precise adjustments with detailed controls
• Create professional-quality photo books with simplified bookmarking tools, new Apple-designed themes, and new square book formats
• Purchase prints in new square and panoramic sizes

Apple releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, Bug fixes & WiFi improvements

Apple has released OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 with bug fixes and performance improvements for Macs running the latest version of the desktop operating system, along with iOS 8.1.1 for iPhone and iPad users. OS X 10.10.1 also includes improvements for Microsoft Exchange users and fixes for Mail. The update can be installed by going to the Updates tab of the Mac App Store.

OS X Yosemite 10.10.1

The OS X Yosemite v10.10.1 Update improves the stability, compatibility, and security of your Mac. This update:

For enterprise customers, Apple says this update:

• Allows you to append search domains for partially qualified domain names when performing DNS lookups (consult the discoveryd man page for more information)
• Addresses an issue where the Mac App Store might offer an update to Apple Remote Desktop when the latest version is already installed
