Eurocom's New Sky X9W Laptop with 64GB RAM, 5TB SSD, and 6 USB Ports

Eurocom the Canadian computer manufacturer has launched its Sky X9W laptop with 64GB RAM, 5TB SSD, and 6 USB Ports. Much like many other good things in life, the laptop also has a big price tag, with a starting price point of $2,930 (roughly Rs. 198,000).

New Sky X9W laptop come equipped with top-of-the-line desktop-class specifications which are powered by a quad-core, Intel Core i7 ‘Skylake-S’ 6700K SoC and Intel Z170 Express ‘Skylake’ chipseta, which user can opt according to their need.

The base model starts with 16GB of DDR4 2133MHz RAM and ends with a 64GB of DDR4 2666MHz RAM model. The Sky X9W comes with a 17.3-inch 4K (3840×2160 pixels) display which users can opt for a display with full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) screen resolution. As for the GPU, the Sky X9W comes with 8GB Nvidia Quadro M5000M, 4GB Nvidia Quadro M3000M, or a single 200W desktop class 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 980. Of course, with that sort of processing power, there is a lot of cooling that will be required – and, there are multiple fans on board to do so.

On the connectivity front, there's one USB 3.1 Type-C port, five USB 3.0 ports, a pair of Mini Display ports that can power up to four monitors, an HDMI outlet, one headphone, one mic, two RS45 ports, and supports Wi-Fi. It also comes with up to 5TB of SSD storage in a RAID 10 configuration. The maximum configuration can go up to a whopping $11,473 (roughly Rs. 775,000), which includes a carrying case and a 3-year warranty.

As for the operating system, users may choose from Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7. The weight of the laptop is 4.8kg and it measures 428x308x45mm.

Lenovo Yoga 700 Convertible Laptops Launched With Windows 10

Lenovo has launched two new Yoga convertible laptop, the Yoga 700 with 11-inch and 14-inch screen sizes. The 11-inch and 14-inch screen sizes with starting prices of $649 (roughly Rs. 42,400) and $799 (roughly Rs. 52,200) respectively in the US.

The Yoga 700 11 inch features a  11.6-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD 10-point multi-touch IPS display powered by 64-bit Intel Core m3-6Y30 processor (2 cores, 4 threads, 900MHz base frequency, 2.2GHz burst frequency) with Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU and up to 8GB RAM. It comes with 128GB SSD. It runs on Windows 10 Home 64-bit. It has a 40Whr Li-polymer battery that's rated to deliver up to 7 hours of running time.
