LG G Flex 2 Global Roll Out Just Before MWC 2015

LG Flex 2 which was announced in CES 2015 is available globally. According to LG, major carriers in the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, Germany and the U.K. will be among the first to offer the LG G Flex2.  It will roll out in key markets in North and South America, Europe and Asia starting from March, after the MWC 2015.

LG Flex 2 features a 5.5-inch (1080 x 1920 pixels ) Full HD Curved Plastic OLED display powered by 2.0 GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and 2GB DDR4 RAM. It has a internal storage of 16GB/32GB and can be expanded via microSD. It sports a 13MP rear camera with OIS+, Laser Auto Focus and dual LED Flash and a 2.1 MP front facing camera. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and has 3000 mAh battery.

Nikon Launched D5500 DX-Format DSLR With Touchscreen

Nikon has launched Nikon D5500, the first DX-format camera with a vari-angle touchscreen. D5500 is Nikon's first DSLR to feature a 3.2-inch Vari-angle LCD monitor with a touchscreen.

Nikon D5500 features a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter(OLPF) in order to render images with finer detail. It has built-in Wi-Fi, Nikon’s 39-point autofocus system with nine cross-type sensors in the centre and continuous shooting speeds of up to 5 frames-per-second. For videos, users can use Nikon’s EXPEED 4 image processor which will capture Full HD video clips at frame rates up to 50p/60p.

Users can use the touchscreen to focus and shoot, or adjust settings such as aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. The ‘Touch Fn’ can be used to adjust key settings with a swipe of the finger. You can assign up to eight settings to this button including AF area modes, focus points, aperture and ISO sensitivity.

Microsoft Launches Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM Internet Enabled phones

Microsoft has launched Nokia 215 and 215 Dual SIM, the company’s most affordable internet-enabled handsets.

Nokia 215 and the 215 Dual SIM features a 2.8-inch (320 x 240 pixels) QVGA LCD screen. It runs on Series 30+ OS and the storage can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB. It sports a VGA rear camera without flash. It comes with 1100 mAh battery with talktime up to 20 hours.
Both the devices comes pre-loaded with MSN Weather, Bing Search, Facebook and Twitter apps, Opera Mini browser, built-in MP3 player, FM Radio, 2G (EDGE), Bluetooth 3.0 with Slam sharing feature.

Acer launches 15.6-inch Chromebook with full HD display

First Chromebook with a 15.6-inch display, Acer has launched the Chromebook 15 at CES 2015. The company also revealed its plans to expand their Chromebook 13 range of laptops with new touchscreen models.

The new Acer Chromebook 15 will be available in two display versions - one offering a full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) screen resolution and another offering a HD (1366x768 pixels) resolution. It will be available powered by either fifth generation Intel Core i3 or the next generation Intel Celeron processor. Acer Chromebook 15 will also offer two variants with either 16GB or 32GB SSD drive and either 2GB or 4GB or RAM.

Dell Launches New XPS and Alienware Laptops at CES 2015

Dell launched its all new XPS and Alienware laptops at CES 2015.

Dell XPS laptops come in two screen sizes, 13-inch and 15-inch, and are named the Dell XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15. The new 13-inch Dell XPS laptop also features a edge-to-edge 'infinity' display with bezels of 5.2mm. The company says that it's "the world's first virtually borderless infinity display", with a 13-inch display fit into the size of a typical 11-inch laptop.

Dell XPS 13 runs on Windows 8.1 with an optional 13-inch UltraSharp Quad-HD+ infinity (3200x1800 pixels) touch display, apart from the standard 1920x1080 option. Dell XPS 15 comes with its 15-inch UltraSharp 4K Ultra-HD touch display, which according to the company is "the highest resolution panel available on a 15-inch laptop today".

Dell XPS 13 and Dell XPS 15 come with the fifth-generation Intel Broadwell U Core processors, from the 2.1GHz Core i3 to 3.2GHz Core i7 CPUs. Storage options include 128GB, 256GB or 512GB SSD, with a choice of 4GB or 8GB of RAM.

The Dell XPS 13 is available starting $799 (approximately Rs. 50,000), while the Dell XPS 15 will be launched soon from $2,349 (approximately Rs. 1.48 lakhs).

Dell also launched two new variant in their popular gaming PC brand, Alienware - the Alienware 15 and Alienware 17 laptops.

The 15-inch Alienware comes with an optional 4K display, but there is no 4K option for the 17-inch variant. Both the 15-inch and 17-inch Alienware gaming laptops feature Intel Core processors, AMD Radeon and Nvidia GeForce GPUs.

The Alienware 15 is available starting $1,199 (approximately Rs. 76,000), while the Alienware 17 starts from $1,499 (approximately Rs. 95,000).

Asus ZenFone 2 With 64 bit Intel processor and 4GB of RAM

Asus launched the ZenFone 2 at CES 2015 alongside the ZenFone Zoom - a smartphone with 3x optical zoom. Asus ZenFone 2 will be available in Q2 2015 (March). ASUS ZenFone 2 will be available in Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White colors. The phone will cost you around $199 (Rs. 12,600 approximately).

It has an internal storage of 16GB/32GB/64GB which can be expanded via microSD up to 64GB. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with new Asus ZenUI on top and has 3000 mAh battery.

Alcatel OneTouch announced its Pixi 3 series of smartphones along with the budget One Touch Watch. Alcatel OneTouch will showcase the Pixi 3 and the Watch at CES 2015.

The Pixi 3 series smartphones can run Android, Firefox and Windows Phone operating systems depending on customer's need. It comes with different screen sizes - 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch, and 5-inch. The 3.5 inch variant will come with 3G, the other three variants come with 4G LTE connectivity.

"Our users do not want complicated systems -- they want something familiar from their work environment in the office, but also on a smartphone," said Alcatel One Touch Chief Marketing Officer Dan Dery.

ViewSonic V55 Smartphone With Iris Scanner at CES 2015

ViewSonic is expected to launch V55 smartphone with Iris Scanner at CES 2015. According to the report, "With this technology, only the owner of the device, whose iris patterns are recorded pre-recorded can unlock and access information from the smartphone." ViewSonic V55 smartphone will include the iris scanner on top right corner of the handset and will be covered be a small piece. Users will have to slide the piece covering the scanner to use it.

ViewSonic V55 features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) OGS display powered by 1.4GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB/32GB. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera. No word on the OS and battery capacity.

Lenovo to launch budget 4G smartphone at CES 2015


Lenovo has announced that it will be launching a new 4G LTE-capable smartphone at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show 2015 (CES). The phone will be based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chip and will be priced aggressively.

No word on which smartphone the company is planning to launch, recently lenovo had launched Lenovo K3 with 5-inch HD display, Snadpragon 410 SoC, 1GB RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity priced at CNY 599 (US$ 96 / Rs. 6130 approx).

The phone's pricing would be comparable to that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G and Micromax's YU Yureka phones, as per company sources.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G is available via Flipkart and Airtel at Rs 9,999. The phone features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 powered by 1.6 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor with Adreno 305 and 2GB RAM. It has an internal storage of 8GB and can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI v5 on top and has 3100 mAh battery.

The Yureka smartphone will go on sale starting 13 January but will be available to consumers who pre-registered to buy it on Amazon India. The phone features a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display powered by a Octa-Core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4×1.7GHz + 4×1.0GHz) processor with Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB DDR3 RAM. It has an internal storage of 16GB an can be expanded via microSD card up to 32GB. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) CyanogenMod OS 11 and has 2500 mAh battery.
