Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) With 'S Bike Mode' Launched in India

Samsung has launched Galaxy J3 (2016) smartphone in India. It is available in Black, White and Gold colors, is priced at Rs. 8,990. The smartphone is exclusively available through online shopping partner Snapdeal. It also comes with double data offer for Vodafone 4G customers for 6 months and 2 months for 3G customers on data packs of 1GB and above. 

The main highlight of this smartphone is it comes with 'S Bike Mode', which once enabled automatically replies to calls with pre-recorded messages in 14 languages. Riders can also mark a few contacts as important, so that they can be notified even while riding.

Xiaomi Mi 5 Launched with Snapdragon 820, 3GB RAM in India at Rs. 24,999

Xiaomi has launched the Mi 5 flagship smartphone in India. The smartphone was announced at an event in China and at the MWC 2016 last month. The company has launched a single variant of the smartphone in India, what was unveiled as the 'standard edition' in China, featuring 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage. It is available in Black, White and Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 24,999. It will be available from mi.com through flash sale starting from April 6th.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro Launched With 4GB RAM, 5000mAh Battery

Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy A9 Pro (SM-A9100) smartphone in China. It is available in White, Gold and Rose Gold colors and is priced at at CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 35,700). Samsung is yet to reveal the availability details of the device outside the region, or even list the smartphone variant on its China-specific website.

Micromax has launched the successor of Canvas Spark 2, dubbed Canvas Spark 3 Q385 smartphone in India. It is available in Black and color and Champagne Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 4,999. The smartphone will be available via online shopping partner Snapdeal through flash sale starting from April 7th. Registrations for the sale will be April 1st.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 'Pro' With 3GB RAM, 32GB Storage, Fingerprint Sensor Launched

Xiaomi has officially unveiled Redmi 3 Pro smartphone in China. It is available in Gray, Silver and Gold colors and is priced at 899 yuan (US$ 138 / Rs. 9190 approx.). It will go on sale in China starting from April 6th. No word on the global roll out yet.

Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen Receiving Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update in India

Soon after rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for Moto X Play, Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd Gen smartphone in India. 

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update changelog stays the same as that seen in the Moto X Play OS update. The update comes bundled with Google's monthly security update - Android security update for March - as well as adds Unicode 8.0 emoji support. The update for the Moto G 3rd Gen also brings camera shutter tone switch, letting users turn off/on the shutter sound any time. Some stability improvements have also been made.

The new update is now available over-the-air (OTA), though Moto G 3rd Gen users can manually check for updates by going to the Settings app of the smartphone, and navigating to About Phone > System Updates. The update v24.61.55 weighs 371.4MB, so we recommend users to switch to Wi-Fi before downloading the OS update.

Xiaomi Mi 5 India Launch Set On March 31

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mi 5 flagship smartphone will be launched in India on Thursday. The Chinese company at the Redmi Note 3 India launch earlier this month had promised that the Xiaomi Mi 5 smartphone will be "coming to India in a month" - and it certainly appears to have kept its promise. The smartphone is expected to go on sale in the country from early April. We should know the price at the launch event on Thursday.
