Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen Receiving Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow Update in India

Soon after rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for Moto X Play, Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update for the Moto G 3rd Gen smartphone in India. 

The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update changelog stays the same as that seen in the Moto X Play OS update. The update comes bundled with Google's monthly security update - Android security update for March - as well as adds Unicode 8.0 emoji support. The update for the Moto G 3rd Gen also brings camera shutter tone switch, letting users turn off/on the shutter sound any time. Some stability improvements have also been made.

The new update is now available over-the-air (OTA), though Moto G 3rd Gen users can manually check for updates by going to the Settings app of the smartphone, and navigating to About Phone > System Updates. The update v24.61.55 weighs 371.4MB, so we recommend users to switch to Wi-Fi before downloading the OS update.

Motorola Moto G Gen 3 Starts Receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for 2015 Moto G Gen 3 smartphone starting from the U.S and Canada. Motorola had previously issued a soak test for the update, and now some users not in the test are reporting seeing Marshmallow roll out.

Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update v24.11.25 for the 2015 Moto G Gen 3 is 460MB in size. Moto G users can check their update by going to Settings > About Phone > System updates.

Motorola is all set to launch Moto G 3rd Generation in India today. Similarly the event will go live on New York, Sao Paulo, and London.

Motorola Moto G 3rd Gen Spotted in Flipkart

This is for all the Motorola fans. Moto G 3rd Gen spotted in online shopping website Flipkart. Motorola has not launched Moto G 3rd Gen yet and it was seen on the shopping website Flipkart with a currently no sellers are available with this item tag. 

This was first spotted by Gadgetraid. According to the Flipkart listing, the Moto G (Gen 3) will feature AP3560AD1K8 model number. In contrast, the Moto G (Gen 2)'s model number is XT1068 while the first generation Moto G came with XT1033 model number.

The specs that leaked include a 5 or 5.2 inch 1080p display powered by  1.7 Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 SoC with 2 GB RAM. It comes with 4G LTE. 

There are no images shown in the website, it just says Moto G (3rd Gen), with 8GB storage and white color.
